PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently use the function of a new storage device while reducing introduction costs in introducing the new storage device. SOLUTION: An access right is changed so that an already existing storage device can be made accessible from a new second storage device (step 502), and a logical device concerning the storage device of the first storage device is allocated to the logical device of the second storage device (step 503), and path definition concerning the logical device and device recognition by a host computer is performed so that the allocated logical device of the second storage device can be made accessible from the host computer (steps 504, 505), and the input/output setting of the host computer is changed so that the input/output processing from the host computer to the device of the first storage device can be requested to the second storage device (step 506).
