PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel conventional defects by using a pulsed laser inverse compton gamma ray, and to analyze an isotope with high precision, high S/N (low background), and high efficiency. SOLUTION: In a method, a sample is irradiated with a pulsed laser inverse compton gamma ray, thus generating a nuclear isomer by light absorption neutron discharge (γ, n) reaction, and additionally a delay gamma ray is measured when the nuclear isomer is collapsed, thus analyzing the isotope with high precision, high S/N, and high efficiency. An activation element analysis method is enabled, where the laser inverse-compton gamma ray is used for generating the radioactive nuclear isomer by (γ, n) reaction, their discharge gammer rays are measured for identifying nuclear species, and the contents of the isotope are measured.
