PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover for a fishing reel that protects the surface of the reel-attaching leg of the fishing reel and simultaneously permits the attaching leg to readily be mounted to a reel sheet. SOLUTION: This protective cover 50 for the reel-attaching leg is formed with a synthetic resin in a solid sheet to have a front cover 51 covering the front attaching portion, a rear cover 52 covering the rear attaching portion and connection part 53 connecting the front cover 51 and the rear cover 52. The front cover 51, the rear cover 52 and the connection part 53 are made foldable so that they may cover the parts contacting to the front attaching portion, the rear attaching portion and the reel sheet of the reel body.
