<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable hose for introduction and distribution of inflator gas in a side impact air bag, which can suppress a failure or the damage of a part of the hose around a gas distribution hole when an air bag is deployed. <P>SOLUTION: A woven fabric-made hose is arranged in the side impact air bag module and has one or a plurality of distribution holes for distributing inflator gas into an air bag on actuation of the air bag. At least one of the outer surface and inner surface of the hose is coated with a rubber or a synthetic resin, and the maximum drawing resistance of fiber is at least 70 N/3 cm in a warp direction and a weft direction, when the drawing resistance is measured by a pin-hitching method defined in JIS L1096, 8.21.3 with a sample having a width of 3 cm and a length of 5 cm which is cut out from a fabric constituting a hose with the width direction of the sample respectively being perpendicular to the weft or warp direction regarding the distribution hole as an end part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
