ANALOG / DIGITAL CONVERSION METHOD AND CIRCUIT, AND PHYSICAL QUANTITY DETECTING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical quantity detecting apparatus the detection section of which is downsized and deterioration in the measurement accuracy of which due to heat generation from components is also avoided and also to provide an analog / digital conversion method and circuit suitable for the same. SOLUTION: The detecting apparatus incorporates an analog / digital conversion circuit which converts an analog signal corresponding to a temperature or the like into a voltage pulse signal. The detecting apparatus employs the analog / digital conversion circuit converting the analog signal into a voltage pulse signal, which provides a low level until a voltage rising at a speed in response to the analog signal reaches an upper limit and provides a high level until the voltage decreases and reaches a lower limit.
