PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical type multistory parking capable of notifying wrong entering into a vehicle parking space to a user when the user erroneously drives his/her vehicle to a different pallet which is not intended to use. SOLUTION: A calling pallet recognition section 61 recognizes the pallet called by the user based on information from an operating section 51. A vehicle riding surface pallet recognition section 63 recognizes each pallet located on the ground surface based on a detection result by limit switches 71 to 76. An entering pallet recognition section 65 recognizes the pallet for entering the vehicle parking space based on a recognition result in the vehicle riding surface pallet recognition section 63 and the detection result by photoelectric switches 77 to 79. A warning section 67 decides whether or not the pallet called by the user coincides with the pallet for entering the vehicle parking space based on recognition results in the calling pallet recognition section 61 and the entering pallet recognition section 65, and when the pallet called by the user differs from the pallet for entering the vehicle parking space, a lighting control signal is outputted so that a warning lamp 52 turns on a light.
