PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system, a mobile communication terminal device, a mobile communication method, and a program thereof, which surely acquire present idle channel information of a base station to realize efficient handover processing free from unnecessary communication between a mobile station and the base station for handover. SOLUTION: A base station 24 assigns bits of idle information of communication channels (idle channel information) to a part of physical information of control channels and communication channels and informs a mobile station 31 of the absence of communication channels before transmission of a transmission request from the mobile station 31. In this mobile communication system, the mobile communication terminal device discriminates the presence or the absence of idle communication channels, and the mobile communication terminal device immediately switches back a channel to the original channel to restart communication without requesting re-call when discriminating the absence of idle communication channels. Consequently, the mobile communication terminal device can switch back a channel to the original communication channel of a base station device without bringing about breaks of sounds.
