PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line branching circuit and a line branching method which allow re-reflection at branch points to be canceled while reducing the power consumption. SOLUTION: A first transmission line has one end connected to an output terminal of an output circuit for generating an output signal to be transmitted and has the other end taken as a branch point, and second and third transmission lines having one ends connected to each other are provided, and an input terminal of a first input circuit is connected to the other end of the second transmission line, and an input terminal of a second input circuit is connected to the other end of the third transmission line, and matching between the characteristic impedance of the first transmission line and the resultant characteristic impedance of the second and third transmission lines is performed at the branch point, and signal delay times on the second and third transmission lines are equalized, and a reciprocal ratio of the characteristic impedance of the second transmission line and that of the third transmission line is matched corresponding to a ratio of the input capacity of the first input circuit and that of the second input circuit.
