PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device for which the need of accelerating the color selection switch of an external circuit is eliminated and color mixture by the pixel signals of different colors adjacent in terms of time is reduced. SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup device is provided with an image pickup part where a plurality of unit pixels for photoelectrically converting incident light are one-dimensionally or two-dimensionally arrayed, an output signal line where the pixel signals of the image pickup part are read, and an output part where the signals of the output signal line are outputted. After the pixel signals of the plurality of non-adjacent pixels of a first color are successively read from the output part, the pixel signals of the non-adjacent pixels of a second color are read from the output part.
