PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core material for a personal wearing article made from a cloth, fitting with a body, following the movement of the body, also maintaining its original shape and sufficiently exhibiting orthopedic and support-reinforcing functions. SOLUTION: This core material for the personal wearing article is provided by braiding 3-9 stretched filaments to form a belt-shaped body which is thermally fixed and can move relatively at the contact points of the filaments each other. Preferably the load required for bending a sample piece of 200 mm length and 6 mm thickness in its thickness direction so as to have 120 mm distance between both ends is 20-50 g and its returning recovery rate after being held 1 min by bending the core material in its width direction by 90°has≥95 %.
