PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy member and its producing method with which excellent corrosion resistance, coloring property and designing of metallic brightness, etc., can be obtained by applying an oxidized film treatment to an aluminum layer under state of preventing the corrosion of a magnesium alloy layer. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy layer 2 is laminated on the outside of the magnesium alloy layer 1 to form a clad material 6, and a punch-out working etc., is applied in this clad material 6 to form a formed product. After covering at least the end surface of the magnesium alloy layer 1 exposed with the above working etc., with a resin film 4, this formed product is dipped into acidic solution and an aluminum oxide layer 3 is formed on the surface of the formed product without coating with the resin film 4.
