PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel aromatic polycarbonate resin composition which has little molecular weight deterioration, a high rigidity and a greatly improved hydrolysis resistance. SOLUTION: The aromatic polycarbonate resin composition comprises a blend of (A) 100 parts by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate resin (A component) and (B) 0.1-50 parts by weight of an organized, layered silicate (B component) having a cation-exchange capacity of 50-200 milliequivalent/100 g, and the layers between which an organic onium ion has been ion-exchanged at a ratio of 40 % or more the above cation-exchange capacity, and also the sum total of a content of chlorine atom and that of bromine atom of 300 ppm or less.
