PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curing composition excellent in adhesion durability by controlling water absorption of a cured product, and a sealing material and an adhesive obtained using the same. SOLUTION: The curing composition comprises a crosslinkable organic polymer bearing at least one hydrolyzable silyl group and a layered silicate salt and has a water absorption of at most 2% after 96 hours as measured according to JIS K 7209.
