PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image information reader capable of making the line width of linear stimulating light condensed on a radiation image conversion panel thinner and the unevenness of the line width smaller without making the reader large in size. SOLUTION: The radiation image information reader reads the information recorded on the radiation image conversion panel 1 by condensing the stimulating light emitted from semiconductor lasers 11 (11a, 11b, 11c...) to be linear on the panel 1 through aspherical toric lenses 12 (12a, 12b, 12c...) formed so that the cross section in a specified direction of at least one surface out of their lens surfaces may be aspherical and detecting stimulated luminescence generated from the linear area P of the panel 1 by the irradiation of the stimulating light by a detection part 20.
