PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a good porous film exhibiting both filtration flow rate and fractionation characteristics simultaneously. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the porous film by a non-solvent phase separation method by using a stock solution obtained by dissolving a polymer (1) for forming a film substrate and a polymer (2) for controlling the phase separation of the polymer (1) in a solvent, since it becomes possible to perform the selection of the polymers for producing the porous film by measuring separately kinematic viscosity and storage elastic modulus for each of the polymers (1) and (2) for predicting whether the phase separation rate falls in an appropriate range or not, so as to also obtain the porous film having a good three dimensional network structure.
