PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering system which is improved to offer a driver comfortable operation considering the degree of fatigue of the driver. SOLUTION: When a vehicle is moving, a controller C increases the value R of a driving counter by one (Step S2). If the continuous driving time of the vehicle exceeds a predetermined time and the value R of the driving counter exceeds a predetermined set value R<SB>0</SB>corresponding to the predetermined time (R>R<SB>0</SB>) (YES in Step S4), the controller C determines that the driver fatigues and sends a control signal to a driver circuit so as to increase a steering reinforcement power generated by a electric motor, thereby increasing the steering reinforcement power generated by a electric motor (Step 5).
