PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyester uneven yarn that has excellent knitting and weaving performance due to the reduced uneven quality, e.g., reduced fluff or the like and gives good hue and clear difference in color deepness. SOLUTION: In a drawing step, the polyester uneven yarn is composed of single fibers on which the thick parts and the thin parts are arranged in the longitudinal direction and is composed of a polyester formed by a polycondensation reaction in the presence of a catalyst composed of a reaction product between a specific titanium compound and a phosphorus compound.
