PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing glass cloth, by which a twist is not imparted to a glass yarn constituting the gloss cloth. SOLUTION: The method for producing the glass cloth comprises using the glass yarn 10 measured by a length measuring drum 14. A glass cake 12 is placed on a rotator so that the winding axisαof the glass cake is parallel with the revolving shaftβof the rotator. The glass yarn is wound on the length measuring drum so that a twist opposite to a twist caused by drawing out the glass yarn from the glass cake in the approximately winding axial direction is produced and the glass yarn is measured. The glass cloth is woven by using the measured glass yarn. The rotational speed of the rotator is controlled according to the change of the twist of the glass yarn caused according to the amount of the yarn drawn out from the glass cake so that the twist to be canceled is imparted by winding the glass yarn to be wound on the length measuring drum on the length measuring drum.
