PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color picture tube device of high quality by preventing a positional shift of a coil winding composing the deflection yoke of the color picture tube. SOLUTION: In a deflection yoke having a toroidal coil, the edge part 4 of a core 2, the edge face of the opening part of the core 2, and a part of the inner peripheral surface of the core 2 which is in contact with at least one winding are covered with a resin 5.
