PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system having an at home guard mode which avoids a wrong report caused by the action of a person other than an intruder during setting of the system to the at home guard mode. SOLUTION: During the at home guard mode, a control means 1 makes an intimidating means 6 operate in a second mode, which informs that an abnormality delay operation is working, different from a first mode which informs the occurrence of the abnormality, when the control means 1 receives a reporting signal from a crime-prevention sensor in a warning state. Then, when a release mode is set by pressing a release bottom 8, the control means 1 enters a release mode, but it determines that the abnormality occurs in the case that prescribed operation delay time elapses without setting the release mode. Further, the control means 1 instantly determines that the abnormality occurs when it receives a reporting signal from another crime-prevention sensor in a warning state before the release mode is set.
