PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical panel which can obtain a constant contrast independently of an environmental temperature even when an electro-optical material such as a memory liquid crystal is used, and to provide a method for driving the electro-optical panel, an electro-optical device and an electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: The electro-optical panel comprises a circuit substrate having an image display part on which an image is displayed and a wiring pattern which is disposed on the circuit substrate and on the image display part, and also the method, device and apparatus are included. Further, the electro-optical panel is provided with a driving IC electrically connected with the wiring pattern and a temperature compensation element containing a temperature detection section for detecting a temperature of the picture display section is disposed on the inside of the driving IC. Therein, the temperature compensation element changes an applied voltage or an applied time of a signal from the driving IC based on temperature information detected by the temperature detection section.
