PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printing device which produces a label to be stuck to a sticking object such as a wire or a rod, the label being excellent in abrasion resistance and anti-sucker properties. SOLUTION: The tape printing device carries out printing on a translucent printing tape T, and cuts a printed tape section in a width direction of the printing tape, to thereby produce the label to be stuck to the sticking object 10 such as the wire or the rod. The tape printing device is comprised of a region setting means for setting a printing region E1 in which printing is performed, by defining the printed tape section in parallel with a lengthwise direction of the printing tape, a printing means for printing an image in the printing region, and a cutting means for separating the printed tape section from the printing tape. The region setting means sets the printing region so that a non-printing region E2 as a non-printing section is overlaid on the printing region when the printed tape section is stuck to the sticking object in a manner encircling the sticking object beginning from a lateral edge of the printed tape section.
