INK JET RECORDING MEDIUM FOR PIGMENTED INK

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium which shows a sharp image with high coloring properties and color reproducibility when printing is performed by an ink jet printer using pigmented ink.

SOLUTION: This ink jet recording medium has one or more ink receiving layers each composed mainly of a vapor phase process alumina and a hydrophilic resin formed on a support and an over layer composed mainly of a cationic resin formed on the ink receiving layer. Alternatively the ink jet recording medium has two or more ink receiving layers each composed mainly of the vapor phase process alumina and the hydrophilic resin formed on the support and a cationic resin contained in the ink receiving layer farthest apart from the support.
