<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a light route control unit capable of avoiding collision of optical signals and effectively allocating an optimal light route. <P>SOLUTION: The light route control unit constituting an optical communication network by selecting and outputting the light route of the optical signal which is arranged every optical node and propagates an optical transmission line is provided with: a light delay means for delaying a plurality of optical signals with routing information attached to a header part for a specified period of time; an optical switching means having a plurality of input ports to which a plurality of light outputs of the optical delay means are inputted and a plurality of output ports for outputting the optical signals; a photo-electric conversion means for converting a plurality of optical signals into electric signals; a storage means for storing path control information; and a control means for retrieving the path control information based on the routing information extracted from an output of the photo-electric conversion means, deciding a party which output is requested from, selecting an input port or one input port out of a plurality of input ports where the output request is made, and allocating it to the plurality of output ports in arbitrary order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
