<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of automatically changing current range by which a current range can be set automatically and quickly with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: In this method of automatically changing current range, the value of a current outputted from a voltage source is measured by means of a current measuring instrument through a resistor for current detection in a state where the resistor is commonly used by means of the measuring instrument and voltage source and the current range of the measuring instrument is automatically changed based on the measured value of the current. This method includes a step 102 of setting the compliance to the current outputted from the voltage source to a prescribed value, a step 106 of measuring the value of the current outputted from the voltage source by means of the current measuring instrument, and a step 108 of determining whether the current range is optimum or not by comparing the temporarily measured value of the current with the current range. This method also includes a step 112 of changing the compliance by raising the current range after the current measuring instrument outputs the result of the measured value of the current when the current range is determined as optimum in the step 108. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
