<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a hybrid vehicle wherein low-voltage power supplied to engine auxiliaries or the like is ensured with efficiency and evacuating travelling can be carried out for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The control device applied to a hybrid vehicle comprises: an engine 1 which is operated by combustion of fuel; a motor generator 2 which can use the output of the engine 1 to generate electric power and can output motive power; a high-voltage battery 4 which can be charged with electric power generated by the motor generator 2 and can supply the motor generator 2 with electric power; a low-voltage battery 7 which can supply the auxiliaries of the engine 1 with electric power; and an exhaust energy recovering device 5 which recovers the exhaust energy of the engine 1 to generate electric power.
