REGENERATOR FOR PARTICULATE FILTER, AND EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE FOR ENGINE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent particulates from being accumulated exceeding an allowable limit amount when a diesel particulate filter reaches its regeneration time in an operating region where the sharp temperature rise of exhaust gas is difficult.

SOLUTION: When the accumulated amount of particulates reaches a specified amount to determine the time to regenerate, in the case an engine is in a low speed travel region VSP1-VSP2, the temperature of exhaust gas is raised to a comparatively low target temperature (450°C) to burn particulates in almost the same amount as the amount of particulates which flow into the diesel particulate filer.
