PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a driving waveform for ejecting a liquid drop with a constant mass. SOLUTION: When a liquid drop ejected from an ejecting head 130R, 130G or 130B adheres to the electrode 153a of a crystal unit 154, a measuring instrument 150 determines the viscosity and mass of the liquid drop from a variation in resonance frequency of the crystal unit 154 and the resonance resistance and then supplies liquid drop information ID indicating them to a control section 110. The control section 110 determines an appropriate driving waveform being supplied to the ejecting heads 130R, 130G and 130B from the viscosity and mass included in the liquid drop information ID.
