PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitting method capable of accurately determining a transmission rate even in the case of an abrupt fluctuation in receiving sensitivity, temporal fading, or the like. SOLUTION: Throughput change tendency in adjacent periodic time durations is grasped on the basis of throughput at a reference transmission rate as a result of performing data transmission by three types of transmission rates at which transmitting speeds adjacent to each other within a certain determined periodic time duration and throughput at a reference transmission rate in the previous periodic time duration to determine a reference transmission rate in the next periodic time duration on the basis of the result of the throughput change tendency.
