PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide battens for holding tiles which use particularly a recycled resin material, and resist cracking caused by nailing, and from which a nail is hard to be pulled out. SOLUTION: The battens for holding the tiles 1 are synthetic resin battens; a slender main part 2 of the batten is extruded by using a rigid foamed resin material; and extrusion molding makes an elastic resin intermediate layer 3 integrally formed in an intermediate part between front and lower parts on the front side of the main part 2 along a longitudinal direction.
