PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capping system for a portable ink-jet print head. SOLUTION: A capping system 14 for a print head includes a handheld-printing jet printer 12 having a print head, and a cap 16 including wiper exhibiting elasticity. The cap 16 is configured such that it is manually set to the printer 12. In the course of the manual setting of the cap 16 to the printer 12, a wiper wipes the print head.
