PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer that can obtain a sample of an image for detecting a nozzle position accurately influencing a position of a nozzle of a head. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer comprises the head having the nozzle for ejecting ink, an ink supply means for supplying the ink to an ink liquid chamber in the head, a pressurizing means for applying a pressure to the ink liquid chamber in the head, a pressure detecting means, a pressure adjusting means, a printing stage, a head lifting means, and a head-paper distance control means for controlling a distance between the head and a printing medium.
