The use of the angiotensin II receptor antagonist telmisartan (I) (or its salt) and the 3-hydroxy-2-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor atorvastatin (II) is claimed in the production of medicaments (A) for the treatment or prophylaxis of cardiovascular, cardiopulmonary or renal diseases in humans or other mammals.
