The arrangement of an abutment (1) or abutment assembly on a component, and especially on a structural part of a motor vehicle, has a flange (10) glued to a fastening surface on the component side. The flange and/or the fastening surface are constructed flat or are curved and conformable to one another. The flange is glued to the fastening surface via a layer of adhesive with permanent shear elasticity and/or resilience, or may be attached by an adhesive film.
