PURPOSE: A storing device using a non-volatile semiconductor memory is provided to largely improve reliability by detecting/informing/saving an abnormal area of the semiconductor memory. CONSTITUTION: A memory card(1) comprises an information processing part(2) and a storing part(3). The storing part comprises five semiconductor memories(31-35) such as a flash memory. The information processing part and the semiconductor memories are interconnected through a data/address bus(B) and a signal line bus(SL). The information processing part reads programs and data stored in the semiconductor memories, performs processes and a data writing command based on an operating program, and detects/informs/saves a strange area of the storing part.
