PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an image processing wherein the intent of a user is reflected accurately when a perfection image is generated by range synthesis of main data and highlight data. SOLUTION: CCD (charge coupled device)-RAW data recorded in a CCD-RAW recoding mode are reproduced by performing various kinds of image processing with CCD-RAW application. In the CCD-RAW application, gamma control and tone curve correction processing are performed collectively to regular data composed of only the main data. On the other hand, when special image data composed of the main data and the highlight data are reproduced, after gamma control and the range synthesis are performed, then the tone curve correction is performed. Since the tone curve correction is performed after the range synthesis, correction parameter specified by a user is applied to both of the main data and the highlight data.
