PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiled egg cooking apparatus for a microwave oven by which a boiled egg can be made in a short period of time without using water. SOLUTION: The apparatus consists of a bowl-shaped container body 3 and a lid 4 which can be mounted on and fitted into the container body 3. Bags 7 into which heat generating material 8 is enclosed are mounted inside the container body 3 and the lid 4 along the shapes of the container body 3 and the lid 4. At least one egg can be held therein with enough size to make a proper gap in the inner hollow parts of the bags 7. The heat generating material 8 generates heat by electromagnetic heating with the microwave oven, and the heating material 8 is swollen with heat and steam to bring the bags 7 into close contact with the whole periphery of the egg to heat the egg to produce the boiled egg.
