PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding method for a long member connection structure in an erection holding device capable of lengthening a cantilever holding length of the long member connection structure in a cantilevered state by further length of one long member in the erection holding device overhung an offshore coast by letting out the structure successively connecting the long member in the long direction from an inshore coast in the approximately horizontal direction in a cantilever state. SOLUTION: In the erection holding device overhung an offshore coast 12 by letting out the longer member connection structure successively connecting the longer member 1 in the longitudinal direction from the inshore coast 11 in the approximately horizontal direction in the cantilevered state, when further one more longer member 1g in excess of a predetermined number of connected longer members is made to let out, a weight 10 is hung down by using a manipulator 5 installed in the erection holding device for holding the longer member 1 to convey, and one more longer member 1g is connected in a state to increase holding moment of the erection holding device for cantilever-holding the longer member connection structure by the suspensible weight 10 to let out.
