PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile burying method for burying any pile in a non-earth removal state regardless of a kind and the size of the pile, and a novel excavator used for this method. SOLUTION: A steel pipe outer tube 1 and a steel pipe inner tube 2 provided with a plurality of earth removal ports are concentrically arranged; an excavating head 10 is installed on the tip of the outer tube; a housing part 3 for housing excavated sediment is arranged in a clearance between the inner tube and the outer tube; excavation is started by inserting an auger 5 inside the inner tube; the excavation is advanced while housing most of the sediment in the housing part from the earth removal ports; the pile is built up inside the inner tube by pulling up the auger after excavating up to the prescribed depth; the periphery of the pile is filled up with the sediment in the housing part by pulling up the inner tube: and next, useless sediment and gravel are not left on the ground surface by pulling up the outer tube.
