PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a reinforced soil retaining wall with a large strength and stability whose construction efficiency can be increased by connecting with ease blocks and a horizontal reinforcing material embedded in a fill such as a blanket net material. SOLUTION: Rows 9 of blocks in which a plurality of blocks 8 are arranged in the breadthwise direction are vertically stacked in stages to constitute a block wall. The block 8 is shaped in a T-form in plan view, and has an engagement part 13 overhung in the breadthwise direction at the back 11. Joint members 14 are connected to the engagement part 13. The front end of the horizontal reinforcing material 17 is fitted to the joint member 14. Then, a fill 6 is laid on the horizontal reinforcing material 17 at the back face side of the block wall to form the reinforced soil retaining wall. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
