PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester tensile strength fiber which has an improved color tone (color value b), high strength, high elongation and high toughness. SOLUTION: The polyester tensile strength fiber is a tensile strength fiber composed of a polyester polymer. The polymer is obtained by polycondensation in the presence of a catalyst composed of a reaction product between a specific titanium compound and a phosphorus compound. The polyester tensile strength fiber has 6-8 cN/dtex strength and 20-30% elongation. The fishing net comprises the polyester tensile strength fiber. The fiber preferably has 0.8-1.2 intrinsic viscosity and 5-10% dry-heat shrinkage percentage at 150°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
