PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly prevent degradation of operating feeling at a finish time of braking force distribution control, in a brake controller for a vehicle comprising a brake pressure regulating means including a normally-open-type solenoid valve for preventing hydraulic action from a master cylinder to a wheel brake at a valve closing time and a control unit for performing front and back braking force distributions by performing anti-lock brake control for eliminating locking tendency by controlling an operation of the brake pressure regulating means in response to a lock tendency determination result of the wheel and opening the normally-open-type solenoid valve corresponding to the rear wheel at the finish time of the braking force distribution control of performing the front and back braking force distribution by controlling the normally-open-type solenoid valve corresponding to the rear wheel to the valve closing side. SOLUTION: The control unit finishes the braking force distribution control in response to a lapse of a predetermined time after the wheel speed or an estimated car body speed decreases to a predetermined speed just before the stop of the car body.
