PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy replacement of a recording medium such as a CD-ROM, in a support stand device for attaching a portable navigation device on a dashboard inside the vehicle compartment. SOLUTION: The support stand device comprises fixed sections 5 and 6 fixed to the inside of the vehicle compartment, a support section 4 connected to the fixed sections 5 and 6 and located on the back side of an attached apparatus, an attaching section 3 on which the bottom of the apparatus abuts when the apparatus is attached, and a turning means 14 for pivoting the attaching section 3 on the support section 4 turnably in the front direction of the apparatus with respect to the support section 4.
