PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to easily set a required inter-vehicle distance. SOLUTION: The inter-vehicle distance control devices stops inter-vehicle distance control when a brake operation sensor detects starting of brake operation. The inter-vehicle distance control device restarts the inter-vehicle distance control when the brake operation sensor detects finishing of the brake operation. Restarting of the inter-vehicle distance control is carried out when the brake operation is specified operation, and a set inter-vehicle distance at the time of restarting is made to be an inter-vehicle distance at the time of finishing of the brake operation (a step 1, and a step S4 to a step S8).
