PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recording by using a liquid toner jet ink which is superior in the flying property by a low applied voltage and capable of obtaining a high quality image. SOLUTION: In this method of recording, the liquid toner jet ink having as a main component a charged particle including at least a vehicle and a coloring agent and a head having a plurality of recording electrodes are used. A voltage is applied to the recording electrodes to allow the charged particle to fly, thereby recording an image.
