PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil purification method which can surely and inexpensively do the separation and fractional recovery of metal lumps and nonmetallic materials from soil. SOLUTION: Soil 1 in a clay pigeon shooting place contains the metal lumps (4) like lead buckshots, argillaceous substances (2) like clay, and plastics (3). The soil purification method is applicable to the separation and fractional recovery of these ingredients from the soil 1. In the method, the differences in the sedimentation speeds of the ingredients in a liquid of a prescribed density and the flow force of the liquid are used.
