PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller that can be reduced in size and cost. SOLUTION: The detecting section 53 of a rotating direction detecting device is provided with a parallel circuit 20 constituted by arranging a first electric line 13 containing a first transistor 53a and a second electric line 14 containing a second transistor 53b and having a larger resistance than the first electric line 13 has in parallel with each other. The transistors 53a and 53b are turned on/off in a state where the phases are deviated from each other with respect to the rotation of a motor. The common junction 15 of the electric lines 13 and 14 is connected to a fourth junction 16 through an electric wire 12. In addition, the fourth junction 16 is connected to a first junction 55 connected to a DC power source through a voltage dividing resistor R. A control section 17 is connected to the fourth junction 16 and detects the rotating direction of the motor by inputting and processing the potential at the parallel circuit 20. Consequently, the rotating direction of the motor can be detected by only connecting the electric wire 12 to the transistors 53a and 53b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
