PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning mechanism for positioning an object in a short time without the need for complicated control. SOLUTION: A plurality of protruded portions 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d provided on one surface of a turn table 2 are arranged in such a manner that their directions in view from a rotational center are mutually different and their distance from the rotational center of the turn table are mutually different. A displacing means is provided for displacing a fixing device 8 for fixing the protruded portions 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d to a direction perpendicular to the rotational center of the turn table 2 to oppose it to each of the protruded portions 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d.
