PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of reducing an examination process by dispensing with a special process for checking whether a separator is assembled without fail. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger comprises a tank 2 having a separator positioning hole 21, a bracket 1 mounted at an outer side of the tank 2, and a mounted component 3 mounted on the tank 2 through the bracket 1 in a state of covering the separator positioning hole 21, and a part of the separator 4 is inserted into the separator positioning hole 21, when the separator 4 is assembled to partition the inside of the tank 2. The bracket 1 is provided with a missing part from the position covering the separator positioning hole 21 to a side edge 18, to form a space communicating the separator positioning hole 21 and the external even in a state that the mounted component 3 is mounted.
