PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of automatically adjusting the operational stroke of an operation system to an adequate state, in relation to the adjustment of a clearance in a disk brake device capable of automatically adjusting a clearance between a friction pad and a disk to an adequate value. SOLUTION: In a disk brake device 10, a space accommodation mechanism 40 comprising a cylindrical guide 41, a stopper 42 and a coil spring 43 is disposed between a brake lever 17 and a nut member 19. When the friction pad 12 is worn, and an adjuster mechanism 30 adjusts a clearance C between the friction pad 12 and the disk 11 to an adequate value, the coil spring 43 presses the brake lever 17 against the left friction pad 12 via a guide 41. The clearance generated between the brake lever 17 and the left friction pad 12 is absorbed, and the stroke of the operation system is adjusted to an initial set stroke. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
